Focus: Train Your Brain paywall project was designed to transform a standard transaction point into a compelling value proposition. By leveraging A/B testing across light and dark interfaces, the goal was to determine how visual aesthetics influence user commitment and perceived value. This design prioritizes clarity and psychological comfort, ensuring that the transition from free user to Pro subscriber feels like a natural step forward rather than a barrier.
The interface is structured to guide the eye through a logical narrative of benefit and cost. At the top, a playful cluster of abstract icons represents the breadth of premium features, immediately reinforcing what the user stands to gain. This leads directly into a high-impact headline that states the outcome clearly: Unlock everything with Pro. By placing the value proposition at the peak of the visual stack, the design establishes an emotional “win” before the user even considers the financial commitment.
Conversion is often found in the details of how information is framed. I implemented price anchoring by displaying a strikethrough original price alongside a highlighted 50% savings tag, which instantly increases the perceived value of the offer. To lower the barrier to entry, the monthly cost is further broken down into a weekly micro-amount, making the investment feel minimal. Recognizing that user anxiety is a primary cause of churn, I placed the “Cancel anytime” reassurance and a clear exit [X] icon in high-visibility areas to foster a sense of control and transparency.

A core component of this project was the development of both Light and Dark mode variations to gather data-driven insights into user behavior. The Light mode offers a clean, approachable, and high-clarity experience that aligns with traditional productivity apps. Conversely, the Dark mode utilizes high-contrast yellow accents against a deep purple backdrop to create a premium, “night-mode” feel that often reduces eye strain and increases focus on the call-to-action button. Testing these two distinct environments allows us to measure which visual atmosphere drives higher engagement and better aligns with the brand’s identity.
Beyond the aesthetics, the foundation of this paywall is built on trust and accessibility. The footer contains clearly defined links to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, ensuring the app remains compliant while maintaining a clean layout. Every element, from the rounded corners of the pricing container to the vibrant “Claim it Now” button, was crafted to feel tactile and responsive. This project demonstrates my ability to blend creative UI design with rigorous UX logic, ultimately aiming to turn user curiosity into long-term retention.
