Settings screens are frequently treated as a catch-all for miscellaneous features, but for a scalable product, they represent a critical touchpoint for both revenue and retention. My objective was to transform this screen into a growth engine that balances the needs of guest users, individual subscribers, and corporate partners without sacrificing a clean, intuitive interface.

In the initial setup state, the top of the screen is dedicated to value realization. I utilized the Serial Position Effect by placing the most business-critical elements first. For the direct consumer, a high-contrast promotional block uses a countdown timer to create urgency for premium upgrades. Immediately below, I positioned a dedicated “Promo Code” entry point to serve as a bridge for B2B2C users. To maintain a seamless flow, this trigger opens a contextual modal rather than a full-page redirect, allowing corporate-sponsored users to activate their benefits without losing their place in the app.

I applied established principles of cognitive psychology to group over fifteen different settings into distinct, logical categories. By utilizing a card-based layout, I created visual “chunks” that allow users to scan the interface and find their target in seconds, adhering to Miller’s Law. Each item is paired with a unique icon to prioritize recognition over recall. This organization ensures that even a feature-dense screen feels lightweight and manageable for the end user.
A key UX iteration was the strategic isolation of destructive actions. I intentionally decoupled high-risk tasks, such as “Reset Progress” and “Delete My Account,” from the primary account management section. By relocating these irreversible actions to the very bottom of the scroll and separating them with clear visual boundaries, I created a dedicated “Safety Zone.” This physical distance acts as a friction point that prevents accidental taps during routine management, ensuring that such actions require deliberate, intentional effort.

The transition from a structural blueprint to a high-fidelity interface allowed me to wrap this functional core in a trustworthy, premium visual language. This evolution included the development of a native Dark Mode to address core accessibility requirements. While Light Mode prioritizes clarity and daytime legibility, the Dark Mode utilizes deep grays to reduce eye strain and improve power efficiency for OLED devices. The visual hierarchy remains identical across both themes, ensuring that user muscle memory and brand authority are never compromised.

Allowing users to try an app without an account is a powerful onboarding tool, but it creates a significant friction point when progress is at risk. To address this, I implemented a high-priority “No Account Found” banner at the very top of the hierarchy. By utilizing a soft-yellow palette for gentle urgency and focusing the copy on “saving progress” rather than “creating an account,” I leveraged the psychological principle of Loss Aversion. This ensures users understand the personal value of signing in before they dive into deeper customizations.
This project demonstrates how a utility-focused screen can serve a dual purpose: providing a clean user experience for daily management while acting as a powerful engine for business growth. By balancing the needs of Guest, B2C, and B2B2C users in a single, cohesive vertical flow, I created an interface that manages the user’s journey toward long-term loyalty and security.
